Training Courses
Prices for boat courses include
use of school boat, all fuel, all mooring fees and no VAT on top.
Course fees are per
person. Discounts for 2 people booking on the same course 10% or 3
people booking 20%. If you prefer one to one tuition on a school
boat, please add 30%. If you prefer we can run all the courses on your
own boat for a flat fee of £165 per day.

| International
Certificate of Competence (ICC) for boats of either
up to 10m, or up to 24m in length. 2 days course £290
per person on school boats, or £330 flat fee (for up to
3 people) on your own boat up to 24m, anywhere in the
UK.
RYA Powerboat Level 1
(1 Day) - £170
A course for the novice. Designed to build confidence in basic boat handling and safety. Ideal for those new to boating, who need to get started.
RYA Powerboat Level 2,
ICC, CEVNI (2 Days) - £290
A more comprehensive course to include boat handling skills, mooring, high speed driving, collision regs (who gives way to who), charts, tides, man over board, anchoring and crew safety. This should enable you to take your family or friends out for the day, on coastal passages, safely and confidently.
These courses follow the RYA syllabus and can be done on your boat or the school boat.

| If you are unsure of any aspect of your boat handling, courses can be tailored, of any length, to suit your individual
needs. Not happy with mooring, unsure about going out at night, been on a river and want sea experience, its not a problem. Please, just ask. |
RYA Advanced Powerboat
(2 Days) - £310
For experienced skippers, this 2 day course includes
night

passages, rough weather
handling, more extensive chartwork, GPS and is designed
for the serious leisure user or commercial operator.
VHF/SRC Radio course
(1 Day) - £80
If you use any marine band VHF Radio equipment (including hand-held radios), you are required by law to have an operators certificate.
To gain the operators certificate, you attend a one day
course. The course will teach you about different types of
VHF equipment, how to set the controls for optimum
performance, correct procedures, which channels to use,
distress and safety messages, why you shouldn't rely on a
mobile phone, as well as covering the new GMDSS equipment
and procedures. Next courses

RYA First Aid Course (1
Day) - £80
An important course for those working at sailing clubs
or wishing to gain commercial endorsements on boat
certificates. Leisure users may also like to consider this
one day course. Even if you are as close as a mile from
your harbour, help could take 15 to 20 minutes to get to
you. If you have a medical problem this may be too long. A
basic knowledge of First Aid principals can be useful both
on the water and in everyday life.

Intensive 7 day course -
£825
To include powerboat level one, level 2, ICC, Advanced
powerboat, VHF radio licence, RYA First Aid on the water.
All the certificates you need for a serious leisure user,
or if you are looking for a job in the powerboat industry,
home or abroad. (Add £80 for Sea Survival for commercial
endorsement).
