About Aquapower

Why Choose Aquapower ?

A good question, but maybe an easy answer is available. Aquapower has been established for many years. For the seventh year running (2007) Aquapower have been the first choice of several International Boatshows for providing safety, HSE and water based advice and training. We have also organised inland waterways shows and been involved with Motorboat Monthly and Motorboat & Yachting magazine's events both in the UK and Europe. For many years we have also been the number one choice for providing training and advice to government departments, fire brigades, Para-medics, large companies, sailing clubs, dive clubs, produced training video's for 2 television series, as well as teaching thousands of private clients, throughout the UK and Europe.
A small caring company, but with a big big reputation.

Powerboat Course - The Fun Bit!

Deaf or hard of hearing..... not a problem. David has attended RNID Deaf awareness courses, CACDP awareness courses with the Hampshire Deaf Association and can use BSL. So please feel free to get in touch with us. We have also been on other disability awareness courses and in 6 years have never had to turn a disabled person down.

Aquapower is based on the Solent and is a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) recognised Sea School operating 7 days a week, all through the year. Being authorised by the RYA to run their courses means we are regularly inspected to ensure that the boats, instructors and premises meet with their standards.

Our Training Area
The Solent  is the perfect place to do a course. Our area enjoys one of the warmest driest climates in Britian according to Met office figures (in the top 3 for 8 years running, 2006). We have such an assortment of places to go and sea conditions to experience, as well as many navigation bouys, lighthouses and tricky harbour entrances to test your skills. We can build your confidence in the gentle estuary or harbour and then progress onto the exposed open sea, depending on your requirements. This is why the RNLI use this area for their training. You can start your course in Lymington Hampshire, Yarmouth Isle of Wight, or train on your own boat upto 24 metres anywhere in the UK.

Why spend 2 or 3 days training in a muddy river or built up commercial area, when you can have breathtaking scenery, sandy beaches and quiet coves to anchor in.
